for the love of god he tried to get on the damn door and it sunk and flipped, make a replica and put it in a pool and let’s see you chill and play cards on it. far to many people are arguing this point seriously and using it as a reason to hate rose and talk about how much the filmmakers suck and its stupid.

TWO PEOPLE COULDN’T FIT NOR BALANCE ON THE DAMN BOARD DOOR THING.

they were already in the moderate stage of hypothermia by the time they got to it. Violent shivering, blue lips, movement slows down and muscles don’t work like you want them to. Any effort on their parts was hard and only exhausted them more and used what little heat they had.

Did everyone miss the part where Rose had to get to the whistle and blow it? How hard that one simple task was. HYPOTHERMIA BITCHES. IT WAS COLD.

AND NO, THEY COULDNT TAKE TURNS ON IT EITHER. IT WOULD REQUIRE TO MUCH EFFORT AND WOULD JUST KILL THEM FASTER. Also, have none of you been swimming? If its a cold day and youre in the water is it REALLY warmer when you get out? Or do you just sink lower to stay warm because your body temp has adjusted to the waters and everything is cold when you get out of it. Ill give you a hint, its the 2nd one.

‘well im talking about in real life’ is not a valid statement. This is a film. The door they’re on is a prop, the characters are actors. You cannot say youre talking about if the door was real and nothing else was because you don’t know anything about that damn door. What kind of wood is it, how absorbent is it, how buoyant is it? What are it’s exact proportions? What are Jack and Rose’s exact proportions? What are their weights?

like okay, if you’re just saying it to say it (which makes it even dumber) or making a funny graphic but WAY TO MANY PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO BE SERIOUS ABOUT IT AND YOU CANT SO ITS STUPID.

bottom line, in the movie-verse, Jack tried to get on the door and it didn’t work. THE END. RESULT = THEY BOTH COULDNT FIT/BALANCE.

If you wanna start talking about BUT REALLY IF IT WERE REAL, then come back to it with all the information you would need to actually figure out if it would work or like shut up.
