Top 5 Characters Who Remind Me (and Others) of Myself 4. Princess Tiana (The Princess and the Frog) This should surprise no one who has followed me in the past or who knows me: I freaking love The Princess and the Frog. My cousin will gleefully and mockingly tell you of the first time we saw it in theatres together, where by the end of the film I was on the edge of my seat, my feet swinging under me like an ecstatic kindergartner. It makes me happy. Part of that is the romance, part is the storyline, part is the terrifying villain, and part of it is that I finally found a Disney princess to truly identify with. Tiana and I are both head-strong and focused. We set a goal for our lives and we stick to it, no matter what. We often let our drive to achieve get in the way of our relationships with others and very few people make it into our trusted circle. We’re not likely to go out dancing, usually because we feel it’s frivolous and there are more important things to do. To most people, that sounds like a weakness, and I agree that it is a fault Tiana & I share, but at the same time, I think of it as a strength. We know what we want and we’re willing to work hard until we have it. We’ve never been given anything freely and we don’t expect anything from the world, so we make our own luck, our own magic. And we succeed. Also, I am totally open to kissing frogs if that frog turns into Prince Naveen.
