Are we having a Xander Harris hate-athon?
He is never held accountabke for his attempted rape of Buffy.

True, but (maybe I’ve just looked in the wrong places) it seems people forget Spike tried to rape Buffy as well seasons later.
I’m with Kelley on this one. Xander wasn’t himself, he was possessed. Being a vampire isn’t exactly the same thing. Yes, you have a demon inside of you, but as Angel once said, you become a heightened version of yourself, not something entirely different. Xander wasn’t himself when he did this…but Spike was.
